Cape Elizabeth, Maine

Oh Maine! I can't even look at these photos without my heart breaking a little. It's been a month since I was east coasting, and I am already itching to go back. Such a beautiful part of the country. After my work trip to Toronto, I met up with my friend Jenna in Boston and we bussed it up to Maine. I'll take a crammed bus ride any day, when it's through New England countryside.

While in Maine, we stayed with my cousins in Cape Elizabeth, a short 48 hours in the scenic seaside town and yet we fortunately managed to have lobster for 3 solid meals; steamed lobster ( personally selected and fresh as they come from the wharf in downtown portland), lobster rolls (from my cousin's 'Lobster Cooker' restaurant in Freeport, and of course home-cooked lobster bisque.

Take me back!

  2. I stumbled upon this blog by coincidence & smiled the entire time I looked at this entry. My sister lives about 10 mins from Cape Elizabeth, and my husband and I got married very very close to where a lot of your pics were, right on the water 6 years ago. Seeing the shot of Two Lights, Portland Head Light, etc brought back so many wonderful memories. And that house is beautiful, I love driving to Ft William and seeing that home, and all the other amazing homes right on the water! Thanks for making me smile, now I need to go give my hubby a kiss ;)
