Catalina Island, Oh Yes!

It was a whole week that I got to experience funemployment and I soaked up every minute of it. We used two of those days, to book an overnighter in a charming bed and breakfast on Catalina Island. My parents bought us the boat and hotel tickets as a Christmas gift, and we are just now cashing in. A trip or weekender is the perfect gift in my opinion. No excuses! You're forced to go and have a good time ;) Thanks Mom and Dad!

I haven't been over to the island for a few years and I forgot how beautiful it is! The water is crystal clear, which made for great kayaking and snorkeling. The weather was ideal, the crowds were light, and it was the perfect escape that made us feel like we were miles and miles away. (And yet, just 26 miles off shore)

If you are stopping by Southern California, it's worth even a day trip via the Catalina Flyer!

    1. Yes, you need to! We stayed at this little bed and breakfast called The Glenmore Plaza (my parents gave it to us for christmas) it was nothing fancy but great location! I think its worth it to even go over for the day.
