The beauty of the Parker Hotel is of course Jonathon Adler's genius design, but also in the grounds. Here you are in the middle of the scorching desert and yet within the resort you are surrounded by green manicured lawns, croquet fields, bonfire pits, and lush gardens. The hotel allows you to have a complete "resort" experience, as if you have just reached your Oasis. All in all, I'm in love with this hotel and am already planning my next escape out to Palm Springs where I can just relax poolside (indoor or outdoor).
Side note: I was pleasantly surprised by the room. Having some experience in hotel stays, thanks to work, I have noticed that hotel rooms (a la the economy) have become not only small but drab and pretty bleak. Making the lobbies and restaurants ultra impressive and then slacking on the rooms, but the Parker didn't disappoint. Great size and beautiful design!
