Home Sweet Home.

Little things are starting to come together at our new apartment. I feel like I am working on a lot, but then when you step back its hard to realize what's getting done. Things have been very DIY around here. I'm reworking a lot of what we have. For example, I had the below lamp shades in egg shell, but the room was looking so white (which I love) but it really needed a pop. So, I painted the lamp shades black to work with the coffee table. I still need to fill the frames, and I want to add a circle mirror on the back wall by the bookshelf.
Dining Room: Haven't gotten there yet. Although, I do know that I want to add a capiz shell chandelier, thanks to all the reader's DIY tips.
We have so much Ikea in our apartment, and I don't want to walk in the door and think, oh hello Ikea! So, I added black wall paper to the back of the shelves in the living room to add substance. I'm by no means an interior decorator, but I am having a great time. It's so interesting how much your style can evolve in each place you live!
