Oh, San Francisco.

Joel surprised me with a weekend get-a-way for my birthday. Although I've been to San Fran many times before, this was the time I really fell in love with the city.  A new found appreciation. I wanted to stay the whole week to enjoy different neighborhoods and day trips.

I had friends send me some must see's, but there was just not enough time.
Below are the places we go to, and loved!

Let the road trip begin - Pulled over for some fresh artichokes in Central California
We stayed one night in Union Square.
It was a short walk to a Chinatown dinner at House of Nanking

We got in our seafood at Fisherman's Wharf

Chocolate Croissants at Tartine
Sunday, we were back on the scenic road home, taking PCH from San Fran to Santa Monica.
One long beautiful drive.

Monterey Bay Aquarium
Carmel

Wild elephant seals in San Simeon

Photo in Big Sur

I could really see us living in Northern Cal. I love that even thoughs it's California, it's a completely different type of California with crisp weather, scarves, and cable cars!

Je t'aime San Francisco!
